Whitins Pond Kayak
On September 2, 2012, Bob brought home his brand new Hobie Mirage Revolution 13 kayak, with rudder and pedal system. We immediately took it out into the Whitins Pond. The entry point we used was on the northern end of the pond. It was quite easy to put the kayaks in there, and the pond was absolutely blissful. There were four swans swimming around, plenty of fish, a little blue heron, and a wonderful serenity. There are few houses along the edges of the pond. One side is edged by a reasonably busy road, but you can stay away from that end of the pond.
Here are the photos from the trip. There are 59 photos in all in this slide show. This was my 20th trip in the Venus 11.
The first photo shows his new Hobie next to my orange Venus 11, which will be turning 1 year old on September 6th.
