Mountain Laurel

The Mountain Laurel, or Kalmia latifolia is a native perennial in Sutton which blooms in early June with cup-shaped white flowers. Mountain laurel grows all along the East coast from Maine down to Florida. All parts of this plant are poisonous.

I love how the blossoms begin as little pillow shapes.
