When July begins each year, I swear that I won't be using an air conditioner. In fact I held off on even getting one until 2 or 3 years ago. But a week or so into July it becomes SWELTERINGLY hot and an air conditioner is completely needed. Then a few days later a thunderstorm comes and it cools off. Then it becomes amazingly hot again. It's usually sunny, except for those thunderstorms. Everything is lush green.

July is the month of orange Day Lilies here in Sutton. You drive around town and see them everywhere - in yards, along the road, in the middle of fields. They are quite lovely. It's also a month of water fun, on Lake Singletary and other lakes in town.
