The Manchaug Road Schoolhouse

The only notes in the Sutton Town History on this schoolhouse are when the history talks about the 'Old Schoolhouse', its predecessor. The notes say, "This house [the old Schoolhouse] was burned by an incendiary in 1875. A new one, and finely furnished, was built on the Manchaug road in 1876."

The Manchaug Road school didn't last very long - it burned down in 1885 or so. They built yet another schoolhouse afterwards on Barnett Road.
