Virtual Museum - First Floor - CIDER PRESS
Apples were placed in the cooper made wooden container. Using gears and hand power, the apples were crushed. The juice ran out of the container into a trough cut into the shelf holding the container. The juice was collected and made into cider. The mashed apple stock was used in cooking and baking. This device was for home use.
