There’s been an important change at the Carpenter Reservoir in Whitinsville. A large boulder wall now prevents parking there. There is no public access now. I greatly enjoyed kayaking there last fall and will miss being able to do so.

A broiling 98.5F right now in Sutton MA on Boston Marathon day. I hope those runners are keeping cool and drinking lots of liquids!

The hottest Boston Marathon on record was in 1976 when the starting temp in Hopkington MA was a broiling 100F.
