Welcome to Sutton Massachusetts! This blog is maintained by Lisa, who has lived in Sutton since 1995. These blog posts are her personal observations about the beautiful serenity of living in Sutton! Enjoy!

New England Patriots

In two days the New England Patriots play in the 2012 Super Bowl. What are Sutton MA residents doing to celebrate? Anything exciting?

51.7F Heat Wave

Wow the sun’s down and it’s still 51.7F in Sutton MA. In February. This is unnatural! We’re supposed to have 4 feet of snow about now! :)

Jupiter is Visible

Wow Jupiter is very bright in the night sky in Sutton MA, it’s just to the left of the smiling moon. A perfect night for some star gazing.

Power Outage

Power was out in parts of Sutton Massachusetts from 3-6am. How many people noticed? How many slept through and woke to blinking clocks? :)

House on Tucker Pond

House for sale in Sutton MA on Tucker Pond – does look tempting! I do caveat that the listing claims that Tucker Pond is a Lake. That body of water is TINY. I think it definitely is a pond :)

Sutton MA and Light Pollution

No northern lights visible from Sutton MA because Worcester bombards our sky with light pollution :)

Northern Lights in Sutton MA

Winter of Little Snow

The snow is almost all gone again in Sutton MA. We need to think up fun winter activities that don’t involve snow. Hmmm. Ideas?

No Northern Lights

The stars are super-clear in Sutton MA – but unfortunately the light pollution from Worcester fades out the north sky. No northern lights seen. Ah well, we tried. Apparently Sutton wasn’t made for the aurora.

Northern Lights?

The stars are out in Sutton Massachusetts!! The clouds are gone!! Now to drive over to Blackstone golf course, any other North-facing ideas? The northern lights are out there, we just need to find a way to see north without all these trees! Never mind the light pollution from Worcester which happens to be north too :)

Too Cloudy

Frustrated! Still so many clouds in Sutton Massachusetts that I can’t see a single star, never mind the northern lights. Where are they?
