Turtles in Sutton Massachusetts
There are only ten types of turtles found in Massachusetts. Luckily they move fairly slowly so they can't really run away from you when you want to photograph them!
The ten turtles are the Northern red-bellied cooter, the bog turtle, the diamond-backed terrapin, the Blanding's Turtle, the eastern box turtle, the wood turtle, the spotted turtle, the eastern musk turtle, the snapping turtle, the painted turtle, and the red-eared slider.
Of these ten, the first six of them are endangered or being watched after, so be nice to turtles you find.
The only turtle I've ever seen in Sutton is the Painted Turtle.
