Filmy Dome Spider
The Filmy Dome Spider is a Neriene radiata and makes thick multi-layered webs. Ours is between a pair of tomato plants in Sutton MA. It is not a jumping spider - it is a calm spider that sits in its web waiting for prey. It is part of the "sheetweb spider" (linyphiinae) family.
