Beewolf - Bugs and Beetles in Sutton Massachusetts
In our current world of vanishing honeybees, the beewolf is not a loved creature. This wasp from the family crabronidae and subfamily philanthinae genus philanthus lives by eating bees. Beewolves are solitary creatures and the females lay their eggs on bees. I thought I had a photo of a bee wolf, but apparently it was a Potter Wasp!
